Ipswich Morning Round-Up, Saturday 31st October 2026: Town Head to Hull as Ashton Sets Out His Vision

Good morning Blues fans. Plenty to get through ahead of a big day of Ipswich action, so let's dive in.

Chief executive Mark Ashton has been speaking about Ipswich Town's broader plan, touching on Premier League stability, transfer strategy and investment as the club looks to the future, according to BBC Sport (BBC Sport).

On the pitch, Town make the trip to Hull City this afternoon, and TWTD's members poll makes interesting reading, with 59 per cent backing an Ipswich win, 29 per cent predicting a draw and just 12 per cent going for a Hull victory, with a 2-1 away win the most popular individual scoreline (TWTD).

It's also a big day for the women's side, who face Watford in the Subway Players Cup this afternoon at Barnet's The Hive, with kick-off at 3pm and the match live on YouTube (TWTD).

Away from football, Ipswich Star reports that local vape shops in the town are bracing for rising costs.

So that's the picture this Saturday morning - Town looking for three points up at Hull, while the Blues women take on Watford in cup action, all against the backdrop of Ashton's long-term plans for the club.
