Ipswich Town U21s fall to Anderlecht with Kipre and Nunez involved

Ipswich Town's U21s were in Premier League International Cup action against Anderlecht at Portman Road, with two first-team faces involved in the squad.

Ahead of kick-off, the Ipswich Star previewed the match by confirming that "Cedric Kipre and Marcelino Nunez are featuring" for the U21s as they took on Anderlecht at Portman Road (Ipswich Star).

The East Anglian Daily Times then reported on how the game actually went, confirming that Kipre and Nunez featured but that the young Blues "were beaten 1-0 by Anderlecht" in the Premier League International Cup clash (East Anglian Daily Times).

Meanwhile, ITFC.co.uk simply flagged the fixture via its TownTV coverage, offering fans the chance to watch the U21s take on Anderlecht without providing further detail on the outcome (ITFC.co.uk).

Between the three, the picture is consistent: Kipre and Nunez were involved as Ipswich's development squad hosted Anderlecht at Portman Road, with the East Anglian Daily Times providing the only confirmed result of a narrow 1-0 defeat for the young Town side (East Anglian Daily Times).
