Ipswich Morning Round-Up, Sunday 1st November 2026: Enciso Wonder-Strike Earns Town a Point at Hull

Town kept their unbeaten run going with a share of the spoils on the road, drawing 2-2 with Hull City at the MKM Stadium, with Julio Enciso's stunning equaliser the headline moment (BBC Sport).

Manager Gary (O'Neil) gave his reaction to the result, assessing how the game unfolded against Hull (ITFC.co.uk). He also spoke about his approach to getting the best out of Enciso, saying he wants to let the Paraguayan express himself rather than rein him in, with O'Neil explaining "you have to embrace the flair" (Ipswich Star).

Enciso's quality was the talk of the travelling support too, with Ipswich fan Alfie Indra calling him "a baller when he's in the mood" while admitting there were still mistakes to iron out from the Hull draw (BBC Sport).

Zooming out, BBC Sport note that Ipswich are among three promoted sides - alongside Coventry and Hull - who have made solid starts to life, with the trio having picked up a combined 31 points from their opening nine games and all currently clear of the relegation zone (BBC Sport).
